So, why ‘burnpiles’?

My Grandpa Ed is a civil engineer and avid note taker. When I’d visit his farm, he’d always burn his notes in steel drums called burnpiles. For years, I’ve also jotted down my notes on paper, but I’m going all digital. So this website and my other channels are my digital burnpiles.
